76 years old female who has a history of COPD hypertension back pain back surgeries patient is a vaccinated against the Covid 19.
Patient experiencing cough congestion shortness of breath for 2 weeks progressively getting worse with those complaints came to the emergency room last night patient was hypoxemic patient was started on oxygen chest x-ray showed bilateral pneumonia Covid test positive patient was admitted ID consultation requested patient was started on dexamethasone.
Pt requred high flow O2 , also Bipap but Pt coditione cont to deteriorate and develop multiorgan failre , Pt was intubated, condition was discussed with POA.
Pt was in poor physical state secondary to other medical problems like COPD, malnutrition and failure to thrive.
POA asked for DNR status.
Pt could not survive and passed away
