Death/death was sudden; pain in upper extremity/hand pain; Malaise; This is a spontaneous report from a contactable consumer (patient's son) downloaded from the WEB SK-SUKLSK-20218635.
A 64-year-old female patient received bnt162b2 (COMIRNATY), dose 2 intramuscularly on 15Jun2021 (Batch/Lot Number: FC3098) as single dose for covid-19 immunization.
Medical history included unspecified thyroid disorder and seasonal allergy (not otherwise specified).
The patient's concomitant medications included treated with tablet drugs for thyroid disorder (the name of drug was not reported) and antihistamines (the name of drug was not reported).
The patient previously took mephenoxalone (DORSIFLEX) and experienced reaction not otherwise specified; bnt162b2 dose 1 on 18May2021 for covid-19 immunisation.
The patient experienced pain in upper extremity/hand pain, malaise and death.
The Primary Source (the patient's son) reported, that the patient experienced pain in upper extremity and malaise after 2nd dose of vaccine administration, which lasted for one day.
The patient recovered spontaneously.
The son reported, that according to information in patient's documentation the patient was healthy, Pressure OK, Heart Rhythm OK even during exercise, and had only thyroid disorder and seasonal allergy otherwise unspecified.
Vaccine given 18May2021, 2nd vaccine given 15Jun2021.
There were no adverse reactions except for hand pain after vaccination and malaise which lasted for about 1 day after the second vaccine.
The patient had no other adverse drug reactions after vaccination.
The son reported, that the patient monitored regularly her blood pressure (via digital blood pressure monitor) and heart rate (via smart watch), which were normal.
Blood pressure reporter had stored measurements from her digital pressure gauge.
Her heartbeat with the FIT-watch she wore and there is a clear heartbeat at rest and even under load.
She was not hospitalized as she did not show any health problems.
On 08Jul2021 (also reported as 10Aug2021) the patient was pronouced dead.
According to information from the son, the death was sudden, in the morning during the sleep.
Autopsy was performered, but results and additional details were not reported.
The outcome of pain in upper extremity/hand pain and malaise was recovered.
