Write-up
Severe rhabdomyolysis with peak CK ~750,000, myoglobin >5000.
Severe life-threatening hyperkalemia, K up to ~7.

Renal failure including ~2+ weeks anuria, still on hemodialysis 5 weeks post onset with uncertain prognosis.
Respiratory (muscle) failure, on ventilator for ~18 days with endotracheal tube, followed by tracheostomy ~1 week.
Hospitalized for 26 days including 19 days in Intensive Care Unit, ~11 days in medically induced coma.
Loss of swallowing function requiring retraining.
Profound diffuse muscle damage and weakness, ~20 lb.
loss of muscle mass, initially unable to move arms, legs or support head.
Will require extensive physical therapy to achieve ability to care for self and function somewhat independently.
